We develop and research disaster mitigation technology having real relevance for local areas where mitigation is an urgent matter such as a large scale of earthquake in Miyagi, based on academic coordination and university-industry collaboration. We also contribute to local areas for realization of disaster mitigation by using high technologies and knowledge.
We will provide information of regional disaster mitigation models in and out of Japan to contribute toward determination and improvement on national and regional policy of disaster prevention and mitigation.
